Question:
Why is Canada so boring but yet people want to go there?

Like one of my friends, his family's been to Canada but not Mexico (we're in SoCal). Weird. Only place I could think of that's worth going to in Canada is Vancouver. But Mexico, wow. Cancun (probably way better than Vancouver), Mexico city, Tijuana, and warmth. Before you accuse me of being Mexican, I'm not. I'm AsianAmerican

Ever think that maybe it's NOT boring? That's why so many people go there.

It's a very awesome county.

And I feel bad if you wanna miss out by assuming Mexico is more fun.

But I guess that all depends on what YOU consider fun. If you want to just lie on the beach all day and sip on drinks by the shore, then you'd probably find Mexico more exciting.

But Canada has a LOT more to offer than what you see on the surface...and yes...it is safer.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Canada doesn't end in Vancouver or Toronto just like Mexico doesn't end in Cabo San Lucas or Cancun. Both are big countries that have lots to offer. There is a reason why both countries have the busiest border crossings with the United States.

We only tell people that to keep the losers out. Once They find out what this place is really like They all want to come here . Just ask all the Asians and Blacks and Filipinos and people from many other countries who are here and trying to get Their relatives to come here. Take a walk down and street in any Canadian city and You'll quickly see what I mean.

I have been to both, and only in Mexico did I feel in danger, in fact some people I was with got mugged and camera stolen. And Southern California was not much better!! Would go to Canada any day, but not willingly go any where near Mexico and it's criminal police force. Only drug addicts would go there and like it imho!

"More than half of people around the world say they would abandon their homelands and move to Canada if they could. Given the choice, 53 per cent of adults in the world's 24 leading economies said they would immigrate to Canada according to an international survey..."

Half the damn planet knows one hell of a lot more about America's northern neighbour than you do.

For that many people to want to move somewhere, it has to be awesome.

And that means it's more than good enough for a tourist. Even a dumb@ss tourist.

Since education is the only cure for ignorance, what's your pathetic excuse for wallowing in your own ignorance instead of remedying it?

I don't live in Canada and it's too cold for me, but I can understand why people choose it to live in.

One doesn't choose a country like a tourist, he looks at other factors.

Economy, life expectancy, job opportunities, education opportunities for children etc etc..

Canada is a very good country to live in.

Well Canada is safer than Mexico and has at least as much to offer the tourist, obviously not the same activities but just as many.

Oh and Canada is not boring unless you want to be bored.

I live in eastern Canada. This summer I did zip lining, kayaking, parasailing and rock climbing. It wasn't boring for me. Unless your idea of excitement is mass gun shootings and beheadings, I don't see why you would think Canada is boring.

I guess they have a different idea of boring than you do, or maybe they know enough about Canada to realize what we have that isn't boring, and then, of course, how do you know a place is boring until you have been there?

'One man's meat is another man's poison', meaning you might think somewhere is boring but others will love it. Boredom is a state of the mind, nothing to do with the place, who you are with, or what you are doing! If you are bored it is down to you, your fault, nothing else or no one else is responsible.
