No. We use 117v, same as the USA. The plugs are a bit different than American ones, but US plugs work in our jacks (not vice versa though).

Canada runs on the same power as the USA, 115 to 120v 60 Hz.



And the plugs used in Canada are identical to US plugs.



English electrical items need adapters to work in Canada.

No. It's 110. Same as USA. If you're coming to North America you'll need a voltage adaptor to use any electric appliances you bring.

Because of this, the electrical outlets in Canada and the UK are incompatible.

So if you're travelling from one country to the other, you'll need to purchase voltage adapters for any electrical appliances you're taking with you.

(Hair dryers, Dvd players, laptop computers, etc.)

No, its not.

The voltage in England is at least 220V and in Canada it is 110V.

Edit: My bad, I forgot, it used to be 240V, its 230V now.
