It's about an hour and a bit west of Sudbury on the Trans Canada or about an hour east of The Soo. Small place with an arena, motel/bar and a couple schools, grocery shops and a combination beer store/ liquer store. Not far from the Lake Huron. Excellent fishing and hunting in the area and Eliot Lake is about 30 minutes to the north and has almost all the conveniences.

Access to even further up north can be had nearby, up to Chapleau and beyond.

Edit: Dot has to get her facts straight. Her stolen answer from wikipedia is out of date. The town's population is more than 450 currently. Heck, it was more than that 5 years ago.

Iron Bridge is a community situated near the North Channel of Lake Huron in the Algoma District, Ontario, Canada.

The town has about 450 inhabitants. Originally named Tally-Ho for the call that the lumberjacks would make upon reaching a trading post, it was renamed in the early 1900s after the bridge built over the nearby Mississagi River. It recently amalgamated into the Municipality of Huron Shores. It is most notable for its tourist attractions, namely its snowmobile trails and nearby areas for hunting and fishing.

Hi, I live quite near Iron Bridge in Northern Ontario. It is located about 26 km from Blind River and about 100 km from Espanola where I live it is right near the North Channel and is located on Hwy 17. It is a typical Northern town where everbody knows everybody else... It is also not far from Manitoulin Island and in fact the North Channel is the water between the Island and mainland. I would estimate it is about 2 hours west of Sudbury on Hwy 17, you would drive right past my town on the way there and through many other small towns like Massey, Spanish, Serpent river and Blind river on your way there...

Closest major city to Iron Bridge is Sault Ste. Marie. Here's a link on the town.

All the other answers are good but what is Scubabob driving to get to Kirkland Lake in 30 minutes? We destroyed all the Arrows. Maybe a Harrier jump jet!
