A little more detail would help. Any particular part of Ontario ? It's a big province, and there are lots of small towns. And what type of shopping, and what type of 'stuff' ?

some places are evoked: Goderich, Coburg (close to Port wish - that's additionally solid), Brockville, and Merrickville. different than Brockville, maximum of those places are fantastically small. Quebec city is plenty older than the places reported. The Ontario places are fantastically plenty Victorian, or Georgian. there are thousands of them...Simcoe, Port Dover, Caledonia, Hagarsville, Campbellville, Waterdown, Sundridge, Boston, Oakland,.....etc etc
