Since Canada underwent Confederation in 1867, what they think of "Confederate States of America"?

Just as the Dominion of Canada as it was called historically, underwent confederation, during civil war there was Confederate States of America.

Just as Canada in Cape Breton Highlands of Nova Scotia "New Scotland" has klans that play fiddle tunes and dance in Cheildhs,
In the other Confederation "confederate states of America" there too was a klan called the "ku klux klan"

While the Nova Scotia flag has the St. Andrews cross of the Scottish flag, so does the other confederate flag

Would Canada agree or disagree these two confederations I'm describing are similar?

Should I say welcome back Eric.......of course the question you ask and how you relate it to the US has nothing logically in common with each other since confederation in Canada has nothing in common with the Confederate States of America that existed prior to and during the American Civil War. Of course I realize that you know this however I thought that I would basically answer the question in any case.

The CSA still exists. They have never acknowledged the civil war is over. Most southerners seem to feel they only had a cease fire and tolerate being called part of the USA. When this Canadian visited Virginia and the Carolinas in 2013, signs of the confederacy were still all over the place. I found the same thing on my several trips to Texas. Florida is the only part of that area which seems to not have CSA mindset. Florida un weird in its own unique way.

The Civil War in the USA was another example of people not getting along down there. Canada came to be entirely peacefully. It's just one of the differences between our two countries.
