They are all close enough together to make visiting them easy to do. There is no airplane that goes to Whistler. There is train service to Whistler(rockymountaineer.com) but it looks like that stops around the end of September. You can go by bus or by car and if you aren't used to mountain driving, I recommend the bus. It's about a 2.5 hour drive from downtown Vancouver. Late October is not the best time to visit Whistler. It is likely to be cold and rainy and there won't be any snow yet in most years.

The Rocky Mountains are not near Vancouver. There are mountains near Vancouver, right beside it, but they are not the Rockies.

You should plan for at least 2 days for Vancouver and one day for Victoria (going from Vancouver to Victoria by ferry is about 2 hours). You can also use either the train or the bus from Vancouver to go to Whistler. All that trip doable in 9 days.

Vancouver is an ocean side city. Whistler is a resort town in the Rocky Mountains.

Vancouver is the nearest large airport to Whistler.

People fly to Vancouver, then take other forms of transportation to Whistler:

Look along the left side of the screen to see other options like helicopters, buses, and more.

There's lots to see and do in and around Vancouver:

There's lots to see and do in and around Whistler, too.

There's lots of other things to see and do in British Columbia:

You should visit as much as you feel comfortable with.

Just don't try to do everything. You'll tire yourselves out too much to have fun.

Keep in mind that it's impossible to see and do everything.

British Columbia is huge: 944,735 square kilometres.

(And it's only 1 of Canada's 10 Provinces and 3 Territories and not the biggest one either.)

All of Mexico is 1,972,550 square kilometres

Also remember that October and November are Autumn months in Canada.

That means the weather can get colder than you're used to.

It can also mean you'll see snow up in the mountain where Whistler is.

Whistler is about two hours by car from Vancouver

If you take the Train you can both enjoy the view and not worry about traffic.

Maybe a trip to the interior of BC to Wine Copuntry

At least stop by Winnipeg, Manitoba, a very beautiful city.

There is very rich weird history about the City Hall you must know.

In the past, Winnipeg was known as the centre of the World. All routes passed through it in Canada.
