It isn't that hard. You must be a Canadian citizen, 17 years old (with a consenting guardian/parent) or older, and meet the education requirements for whatever field you want to enter. To enter the Reserves the minimum age is 16 with parent/guardian consent, and junior level Military College applicants can enter the Canadian Forces at 16 years of age.

The minimum education requirements vary from Grade ten (Sec III in Quebec) for combat arms to a University degree for the Direct Entry Officer plan.

You must also meet the medical requirements. Information about the medical examinations are available at the Canadian Forces website.
